Conversation Engine is a Max for Live MIDI effect that generates intelligent call-and-response between two independent musical voices. Designed by Ableton Certified Trainer Noah Pred, each voice features its own pitch, velocity, length, density, and sustain - with optional deviations. Patterns evolve through controllable probability and Auto Dice randomization, letting sequences regenerate at defined musical intervals for continuous variation. Euclidean and Count options provide structured pattern logic, while per-step locks and weighting enable deliberate phrasing within complex generative structures. With full scale and key awareness, optional Drums mode, and routing to any destination in a set via the included X-Relay utility, Conversation Engine transforms static sequences into dynamic, evolving musical dialogues.
