Stochastic Impulse Monosynth

Tactum is a free dual-oscillator stochastic monosynth deisgned to explore articulated time through controlled unpredictability. Tactum pairs two independent oscillators—each offering Noise, Metal, Texture, Waves, FM, Bits, or Boom circuits—with per-note randomization. Built directly into its two-stage envelope, multimode filter, oscillator effects, and panning, range-bound per-event, per-parameter randomization brings any sound to life. A dedicated Click oscillator reinforces transient definition, while optional cross-modulation algorithms, scale awareness, and global output control keep results musical even as parameters continuously vary. With optional scale awareness, the two oscillators can be tuned for unique duophonic output that remains harmonic and in-key.

Motion applies randomization across all parameters, while a multifunction central display doubles as an XY control plane, visualizing oscillator scopes, envelopes, filters, and stereo output in real time.
