The text to sound function is good for coming up with interesting, rhythmic-sounding patterns. The video to sound function I love. Using Data Mod you can map the brightness of the video to any parameter you want - up to eight parameters in total. I used my laptop camera as an input and had a lot of fun covering and uncovering the lens with a book to make sounds that were higher or lower, darker or brighter.
