Developed by Ableton Certified Trainer Noah Pred, Desolation Echo is designed to uniquely dub, deface, and decimate any sound with two digital delay lines, wavefolding distortion, multimode filtration, and multiple modulation options.

Dual digital delay lines can be run independently with full stereo panning or linked together with up to 150% feedback. In BPM sync mode, delay times are determined by a base metrical rate (16n, 8nd, 32nt, etc.) a multiplication factor, and a division value; toggle from BPM to Time mode to adjust delay time in milliseconds with seamless takeover.

The central wavefold transform grid allows you to mangle any signal either pre- or post-delay with extreme crunch or subtle crispiness; easily experiment by drawing freely. Adjust the Base dial to rewrite all grid values to a straight line, or click the dice to randomize all grid values in scattershot within the percentage range and Skew them up or down, while the dedicated low pass filter tames the distortion bank by removing harsh higher frequencies.

Additional Ring or Amplitude Modulation and resonant multimode filter offer further sonic shaping, while a dedicated, sync-able LFO can be assigned to distortion amount, modulation amount, and filer cutoff – each with dedicated Phase for more dynamic results. Finally, an optional brick wall limiter helps contain any unruly signal on the way out.
